Review: Park Avenue Beer Shampoo (for bouncy, shiny and voluminous hair)

Review: Park Avenue beer shampoo

Price: Rs. 160 for 200ml

Yes, you read right! Beer it is.

Beer is really good for hair. It gives volume and shine to hair instantly.

A lot of models and actresses use ‘pure drinking beer’ to rinse their hair and need I say how gorgeous their hair is!

Image

But it’s not possible for many girls to rinse their hair with beer, every time they wash it (Especially me!).

Why not!?

For starters it will be too expensive.

Plus if you are below 18, it will be sooo hard for you to be able to convince the shopkeeper that you are not an alcoholic but want it to rinse your hair! *WHAT!*

So, if we could get a shampoo with all the good qualities of a beer and it won’t also be a bomb in our pockets, then why not give it a try!

To be true I had no idea that “Beer Shampoo” exists, but I am happy they do! ;)

I found this shampoo in my nearby store and immediately bought it!

This is what the bottle looks like:

(Sorry but i don't know why all the pictures are tilted)

What does the packaging on the shampoo says:

‘Made from real beer’

Image

“This shampoo contains real beer which is famed to have excellent conditioning properties. Use Park Avenue Beer Shampoo regularly to leave your hair bouncy, shiny and full of volume”

Image

Ingredients: Aqua, Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulphate, Beer, Dimethiconol (and) TEA Dodecylbenzenesulfonate (and) Laureth-23, Cocoamidopropyl Polyquaternium-10, Guar HydroxyPropyltrimonium Chloride, Bis( C13-15 Alkoxy) PG Amodimethicone, Methychloroisothiazolinone & Methylisothiazolinone, Benzophenone-4, Tetra sodium Edta, Citric acid, Diethyl phthalate, C.I 15985, C.I 19140

Alcohol content: 0.25% w/v Diethyl Phthalate.?
Okay, be honest!

How many of you skipped reading the above ingredient part? :p

Net quantity: 200 ml

MRP  Rs.160 (INR)

My experience with this shampoo:

As you can see the bottle does exactly look like beer, BUT it also smells like beer!

My bottle is almost half now, which means I have used it quite a lot.

My hair is straight, which is why it looks like it doesn’t have a lot of volume.

So this shampoo did give me volume and even though it smells like beer the smell went away once my hair was dry.

I don’t use conditioner or any fancy hair mask, so it does make your hair feel soft without using anything else.

Another thing about this shampoo is that it doesn’t lather a lot like some shampoos, which is a good thing because this shows that it has less harmful chemicals in it! Yayyy!!

Verdict:

I also made my mum try this and even she liked it, her hair has more volume now, and even one of friends complimented me saying that my hair look more voluminous than before.

I would definitely recommend this to any girl or boy who wants to add volume and shine to their hair.

I am going to leave few pictures of my hair, right after I used it (dry hair of course because wet won’t show any results) to show you guys the results better.

Also, I need help on which article I should write first:

  • Heat-less hair waves using absolutely nothing!

  • Summer tips to keep odor and sweat away from your body and face!

  • Fun DIY to use any old lotion/ body cream/ face moisturizer to make an exfoliator!

  • Simple face mask to kill any zit in a day!

The reason why I am asking for help is because it will take me at least 2-3 days to write one article and I want to post what you guys prefer first.

These are the four options, leave the suggestion in the comments or tweet it @Cbeautieshubhi

I would love to talk to you guys here, through comments or through twitter.

You have no idea how even one positive comment from you guys inspires me to do more and more.

♥ Take care lovelies! ♥ :)

Review: Himalya Protein hair cream (Extra nourishment)

Okay so i was planning to review this hair cream for a long time but couldn't make time.

So, finally i am going to review it today! :)

My hair are not dry or frizzy, in fact they are actually kinda soft.

But since last two or three years i spent most of my time in sun, you know waiting outside the institute for coaching classes, school assemblies etc.. etc..

And my hair started loosing it's shine and became comparatively dull. You know what i mean girlies, right?

So i started oiling my hair(I hate oil, so i never oiled my hair before) and they started improving but not like they were before.

I never really prefer using much products on my face, body or hair; but i thought to give a try to a decent hair mask.

That is when i came across this hair cream.

Image

It comes in two variants.

  • Extra nourishment
  • Anti-dandruff

I don't have dandruff or anything so i bought the Protein one!

The label says that it uses 100% herbal actives, which i would like to believe is true.

Now let's get to some important information.

PACKING:

It is a simple container, not boxed which i think is great because extra packing would increase its cost and as you know, we being the consumers would have had to pay for it. Thanks to the company for saving some of our money.

PRICE:

It's price is one of the reasons i wanted to try this out. LOL!

It's 175ml  for Rs. 100! Only! :)

And it's made of all natural ingredients! Yay!

Ingredients:

Image

As you can see it is made from Chickpea, Wheatgerm and Amla (All of these are good for hair)

What the company says:

Image

A unique herbal formulation with extra nourishment of natural proteins derived from chickpea and wheatgerm. Enriched with Eclipta and Amla that promote hair growth.

My experience:

I used this product twice and absolutely loved it!

How i applied this:

I divided my hair into four sections and took one section at a time to apply this cream.

Apply this as you are coloring your hair. Cover each and every strand with this cream.

I used this on dry hair and wet hair both. I think for me, it worked great on dry hair.

Pros:

  • Reasonably priced for an all natural product of 175ml.
  • Creamy texture.
  • Nourishes hair well.
  • Give hair good shine.
  • Smells good, like the fragrance of nature! :)
  • All natural, wouldn't be harmful for hair.

Cons :

  • Some people might find the smell bad, but i like it.
  • Packing in tub is considered unhygienic, but i don't mind this either. (I took out two teaspoons of this cream in a bowl so that i wouldn't have to dip my fingers in the tub again, for my a little longer than medium length hair

Take the amount according to the length of your hair)

Hope you give this a try (My friend just came to visit me so i gotta go)

I would rate this product 4/5 (the "unhygenic packing")

Would i buy this again?

I already did!! :D

Here are some more pictures of the product:

NOTE :
It's to be left on for one hour before shampoo.
After one hour rinse off with any shampoo normally.
The product says to use it after shampoo too, but i don't.
If you want to though just use a little quantity because it's creamy and your hair may end up being greasy.
